smarteX Malaysia wraps up a stellar debut, paving the way for future-ready spaces

Kuala Lumpur, 19 August 2026. The first edition of smarteX Malaysia concluded on 1 August 2026 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC). Co-located with ARCHIDEX 2026 (the 25th International Architecture, Interior Design & Building Exhibition), exhibitors at smarteX Malaysia presented developments in smart building and facility management. Moreover, the four-day event featured 32 speakers across 29 seminar talks and panel discussions, connecting smart technology suppliers with regional decision-makers, developers, and built environment professionals.

smarteX Malaysia opens this week, bringing international smart building technologies to ASEAN

Kuala Lumpur, 27 July 2026. The first edition of smarteX Malaysia, co-located with ARCHIDEX 2026 (25th International Architecture, Interior Design & Building Exhibition), will take place from 29 July – 1 August at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur. Held under the theme “Smart Technology for Life. Work. Space.”, the exhibition will explore solutions for building automation, integrated IoT, energy management, smart home systems, digital construction and building information modeling (BIM) visualisation for residential, commercial and public-sector projects. In addition, a series of concurrent events will address how technology, design, and ESG intelligence are shaping the built environment across five core areas: Operational Performance, Human Experience, Sustainability, Community Value, and Long-Term Asset Resilience.

smarteX Malaysia announced as a platform for the integration of smart technology in the building industry

Messe Frankfurt, in partnership with C.I.S Network Sdn Bhd (C.I.S Malaysia), today announced the launch of smarteX Malaysia, a new specialised exhibition that will be co-located with ARCHIDEX 2026 (25th International Architecture, Interior Design & Building Exhibition). Under the theme “Smart Technology for Life. Work. Space.”, the exhibition will bring together smart technology suppliers and more to showcase IoT, automation, sustainability and smart infrastructure solutions that fuse digital innovation tailored for smart building and facility management. The debut trade show will take place from 29 July – 1 August 2026 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur.
